The First South Asian Womanhood and Girlhood Conference

The first conference on South Asian Womanhood and Girlhood will take place on October 28th and 29th at Loyola University Chicago’s Lakeshore Campus, located in the city of Chicago. We welcome researchers, practitioners, scholars, and students to participate in this social justice initiative. This conference provides an opportunity for participants to explore from a diversity of perspectives the lives of South Asian women in both South Asia and the diaspora. Our hope is to build a positive focus, fresh perspective, new knowledge and momentum to invest in the wellbeing and empowerment of South Asian women and girls.
